Description

As an FP&A Analyst at ablefy, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis function, working closely across critical business areas such as Business Planning, Investor Relations, Management Reporting, Data Analysis, and Liquidity Management. You will also contribute to cross-functional strategic initiatives and key projects aimed at enhancing data automation within the finance ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate closely with finance leadership, the Chief of Staff, and other cross-functional stakeholders, providing insights into key financial drivers and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance overall financial performance and drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has a proactive mindset, strong analytical and modeling skills, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in programming (Python, SQL) is a strong asset and will be a differentiator in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Budgeting and Financial Planning

  • Contribute to budget and forecast preparation, gathering inputs from various departments.
  • Support the development of financial models to evaluate growth strategies and business scenarios.

Investor Relations

  • Prepare investor materials, including monthly and quarterly updates.
  • Conduct desktop research to support investor inquiries and due diligence processes.
  • Organize and maintain investor-related data and records.
  • Assist in funding rounds and/or acquisitions.

Management Reporting and Data Analytics

  • Perform variance analysis, comparing actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support profitability analysis, including in-depth reviews of payment processing.
  • Contribute to the financial integration between the accounting system and management accounts
  • Support other teams as required and contribute to specific ad-hoc analysis
  • Track monthly financial and operational performance, analyze key KPIs, and provide proactive recommendations to support management teams in achieving their targets.

Liquidity Management

  • Assist in preparing cash flow and liquidity reports.
  • Maintain and update the liquidity ecosystem (PSP wallets, bank accounts, and software) to optimize cash management.

Automation and Process Improvement

  • Lead automation initiatives to enhance financial data flow between the data warehouse and the accounting system.
  • Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and propose automation solutions to streamline workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments, e.g. Chief of Staff and Data, to support cost management and profitability initiatives.
  • Gather and validate data for cross-departmental projects, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.


Requirements

  • You have 0-2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment like consulting, investment banking, or a tech startup.
  • You have a solid knowledge of corporate finance and financial modeling skills (Excel, Gsheet).
  • You have strong programming skills, particularly in SQL and Python.
  • You hold a university degree in finance, management, and/or economics.
  • You have a very strong attention to detail and precision when working with data.
  • You have an entrepreneurial and strategic way of thinking.
  • You are a team player and have good communication skills.
